The Aesthetic Show announces pre-show educational program

Article-The Aesthetic Show announces pre-show educational program

Now in its 12th year, The Aesthetic Show (TAS) has firmly established itself as the leading multidisciplinary annual conference and most influential live-event educational platform in medical aesthetics. Set to take place July 5 – 8, 2018, at the l Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, TAS 2018 will provide attendees with a progressive scientific program once again headed by Andrew Ordon, M.D., F.A.C.S., the acclaimed plastic and reconstructive surgeon and host of CBS television’s The Doctors.

Among the top areas of interest, the TAS 2018 program features a series of full-day, pre-show educational symposia focused on the current market growth drivers. During these courses, key opinion leaders and other industry specialists will update attendees on the major evolving trends in aesthetic medicine, which comprise male aesthetics, feminine rejuvenation, regenerative aesthetics, beginner and advanced facial injectable courses and The Certified Aesthetic Consultant Program.

Designed by the thought leaders that helped develop the thriving field of women’s intimate health and wellness, The Art of Feminine Rejuvenation session will cover all aspects of non-invasive and minimally invasive vulvovaginal rejuvenation treatments. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the latest, most advanced techniques and technologies, in addition to exclusive pearls delivered by expert faculty.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the growing male aesthetic sector will be closely examined during The Art of Male Aesthetics course. Topics covered include gateway procedures and patient consultation approaches, clinical treatment methods and options, as well as growing your practice revenues via male-oriented procedures and marketing.

The Regenerative Aesthetics Symposium will zero in on the restoration, replacement and / or rejuvenation of autologous tissues for anti-aging purposes. Highlights of this emerging segment include new fat grafting and volumization technologies, tissue re-engineering, DNA / RNA therapies, stromal vascular fraction (SVF), growth factors and more.

“Regenerative medicine is becoming more mainstream in the field,” noted Tess Mauricio, M.D., dermatologist and regenerative aesthetics specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif. “The pre-conference symposium on this topic is going to be comprehensive, and TAS is really the only place where you can obtain this kind of information.”

Keeping pace with enduring medical aesthetic trends, other standout sessions include two Hands-On Injectable Training Courses, in which attendees will gain advanced injection techniques and tips taught by renowned masters in a fast track learning environment. Participants will receive course materials and earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits upon completion of each course.

Each course revolves around principles and practices to achieve optimal results for facial shaping, wrinkle reduction, treatment of difficult complications and facial rejuvenation using neurotoxins or dermal fillers. The use of microcannulas and Polydioxanone (PDO) lifting threads will also be covered.

Post-lecture, participants will receive personal instruction and hands-on experience performing the demonstrated techniques. At least six months of practical experience with neurotoxins and dermal fillers is required to attend these courses, in addition to having a comprehensive understanding of facial anatomy.

For beginner injectors, the Injectables Course 101 is aimed at the basic science of neurotoxins and dermal fillers, safe injection techniques, proper patient facial evaluation and anatomy, safety protocols, pre- and post-procedure steps, and more.

According to Dr. Mauricio, “The live demonstrations are useful and incredible for attendees. To see our expert colleagues performing their most groundbreaking, new treatments creates a lot of excitement for the attendees. It shows that these techniques and treatment types are doable, and they can be taken back home to their own patients.”

Attendees can also acquire up-to-date marketing and business management techniques for practice success. The Certified Aesthetic Consultant (CAC) Fast Track Program offers a highly-structured, interactive and intensive program that provides the tools needed to advance your practice to the next level. The CAC program is the only current and continuously updated certification program in the aesthetic industry. Instructors comprise experts in practice marketing, patient counseling and executive office management.

“TAS is fun and different from some of the other meetings,” said Kian Karimi, M.D., F.A.C.S., a facial plastic surgeon in Los Angeles, Calif. “It is a multispecialty meeting so the scientific program is very well balanced. It offers something to physicians of all different specialties, which I believe is an important part of its success.”
